Joy Levine was born Varaluk Vanichkul, in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1970. She graduated in Sociology and Anthropology from Thammasat University in Bangkok and continued her post-graduate studies in the USA. Joy has experienced a 30-year career as a fashion super-model, achieving the Thailand Top Supermodel Award and the Elle Magazine Style Award, among others. She has been the Host on several favorite TV shows in both Thailand and France.
In addition to her modeling and show-business careers, Joy has established herself as a major entrepreneur in the Beauty and Wellness industry. She is the president and CEO of Zense of Joy,
an innovative and highly successful day-spa business with six branches in Thailand. She created the business model, signature treatments, philosophy, marketing and publicity programs for her business. In 2012, the World Luxury Spa Awards presented Joy with the prestigious Best New Spa Award, the pinnacle of achievement in the global spa industry.
Joy began studying and practicing meditation and Buddhism at an early age. She had the good fortune to be tutored in advanced meditation by the Abbot of the largest Buddhist temple in the world. Later, in India, she was initiated by a Himalayan Yogi master into a very ancient lineage of yogis. Joy is a certified Advanced Smart Flow Yoga Instructor, a certified “Professional Institute” in Children Yoga from Yoga Ed at Loyola Marymount University. Joy is also a certified “Inner Peace Life Education Instructor” from the Middle Way Meditation Institute.
Joy Levine serves as the Board member of the Board of Directors of TREE Academy, Los Angeles, California since July 2017. In the Fall of 2018, Joy started teaching Inner Peace Life Education and Yoga for their Middle and High school students. Joy also teaches the meditation for the younger children in the elementary school at Revo Academy.
At the World Inner Peace Celebration Event at the faculty house of the Columbia University on September 22, 2018, Joy presented the wellness quotient of the Inner Peace Life Education to the religious leaders, distinguished guests, professors and students of the Columbia University.
